12. Serviço gratuito

O AIMA Renewal Check é atualmente disponibilizado gratuitamente.

13. Comunicações do Serviço e conteúdo patrocinado

Algumas comunicações do Serviço poderão incluir conteúdo patrocinado claramente identificado.

a monitorização será terminada; e

para monitorizar processos relativamente aos quais não tenha autorização ou outra base legítima;

para tentar obter acesso não autorizado aos sistemas do AIMA Renewal Check ou de terceiros;

para interferir com o funcionamento normal do Serviço;

Last updated: 17 September 2026

1. Service Provider Identification

The AIMA Renewal Check service (“Service”) is provided and operated by Phoenix Scientific Unipessoal LDA, a company incorporated under Portuguese law, with its registered office at Rua Afonso de Almeida, nº16 V11, 8600-674 Lagos, Portugal, tax identification number 518810941, and contact email address notifications@aimarenewalcheck.com, hereinafter referred to as “Phoenix Scientific”, “we”, “us” or “our”.

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of AIMA Renewal Check.

By requesting the monitoring of a process through the Service, the user confirms that they have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

2. Nature and Purpose of the Service

AIMA Renewal Check is a free monitoring service designed to facilitate the tracking of changes to status information made available through the process tracking page of the Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum (AIMA).

To use the Service, the user must provide the requested information, namely:

first name;

email address; and

AIMA process tracking link or identifier.

The Service checks the information made available through the tracking link provided by the user once a day, seeking to identify changes in the status or content displayed.

When a relevant change is identified, AIMA Renewal Check will send a notification to the email address provided by the user.

3. Independence from AIMA

AIMA Renewal Check is an independent service.

It is not operated, administered, sponsored, endorsed, or officially associated with the Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum (AIMA), the Portuguese Government, or any other Portuguese public authority.

All information relating to the user's process originates from information made available through AIMA's systems. AIMA Renewal Check is limited to monitoring that information and notifying the user when changes are detected.

The Service has no control over the decisions, procedures, timelines, systems, or information provided by AIMA.

4. Obtaining the AIMA Tracking Link

Before using AIMA Renewal Check, the user must obtain the relevant tracking link through the systems made available by AIMA.

This process takes place directly between the user and AIMA and may involve validation of the user's email address and the provision of additional personal information to AIMA.

AIMA Renewal Check does not request or require the user to provide their Portuguese Tax Identification Number (NIF), residence permit number, or other personal data used by AIMA to validate access to the process, unless this is expressly required in the future and duly communicated to the user.

After completing the procedure made available by AIMA, the user may obtain an individual link that allows them to check the status of their process.

It is this link, or the corresponding tracking identifier, that must be provided to AIMA Renewal Check to enable monitoring.

5. Responsibility for the Link and Information Provided

The user is responsible for ensuring that all information provided to AIMA Renewal Check is accurate and that they are entitled to use the submitted tracking link or identifier.

The user should treat their AIMA tracking link with care and should not make it publicly available or share it with unauthorized persons.

AIMA Renewal Check does not request login credentials, passwords, or authentication codes used in AIMA's systems.

6. Monitoring Processes on Behalf of Third Parties

The Service may be used to monitor a process belonging to the user or, where applicable, a process belonging to another person.

Where the user submits a link or identifier relating to another person's process, the user represents that they have been authorized by that person, or otherwise have a legitimate basis, to monitor the process and provide the necessary information to AIMA Renewal Check.

The user is responsible for the legitimacy of the submission and use of such information.

7. Geographic Availability

AIMA Renewal Check may be used by users located in any country, subject to any technical, legal, or regulatory restrictions that may apply in certain jurisdictions.

8. Monitoring Frequency and Limitations

AIMA Renewal Check checks the information made available through the tracking link provided by the user once a day.

The Service does not operate in real time and does not guarantee that a change made by AIMA will be identified or communicated immediately.

Checks are performed once a day. However, a scheduled check may be affected by AIMA system downtime, maintenance, technical limitations, or other operational factors outside the Service's control.

Users should not rely exclusively on AIMA Renewal Check to monitor their process and may continue to consult AIMA's official channels directly.

9. Dependence on Third-Party Systems

The operation of AIMA Renewal Check depends on the availability and functioning of systems, webpages, and information provided by third parties, including AIMA.

Technical changes, downtime, maintenance, access restrictions, changes to structure or content, security mechanisms, or other modifications implemented by AIMA may temporarily or permanently prevent or limit the Service's ability to check a process.

We cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation of the Service or the continuous availability of AIMA's webpages or systems.

10. Accuracy of Information

AIMA Renewal Check does not create, modify, or determine the status of any AIMA process.

Notifications sent by the Service are based exclusively on the information that the system is able to identify through the tracking link provided by the user.

In the event of any discrepancy between an AIMA Renewal Check notification and information provided directly by AIMA, the official information provided by AIMA shall prevail.

11. No Legal or Immigration Advice

AIMA Renewal Check is solely a monitoring and notification tool.

The Service does not provide legal, immigration, or administrative advice, does not interpret AIMA decisions, and does not recommend any course of action in relation to the user's process.

For information regarding a process, legal requirements, deadlines, rights, or obligations, users should contact AIMA directly or, where appropriate, seek independent professional advice.

12. Free Service

AIMA Renewal Check is currently provided free of charge.

Users are not charged any fees for activating or using the monitoring service.

Phoenix Scientific may, in the future, modify the Service or introduce paid features or services. Any such change will be communicated appropriately and will be subject to the terms applicable at that time.

The future introduction of paid services will not automatically result in charges to existing users without appropriate notice and consent where legally required.

13. Service Communications and Sponsored Content

As part of the monitoring service, AIMA Renewal Check may send emails relating to the activation, operation, status updates, cancellation or completion of monitoring.

Certain Service communications may include clearly identified sponsored content. Sponsored content is separate from the monitoring information provided by AIMA Renewal Check and does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, endorsement by, or recommendation from AIMA or the Portuguese Government.

The inclusion of sponsored content in a Service communication does not change the operational nature of that communication or affect the user's access to the free monitoring service.

14. Cancelling Monitoring

Users may stop monitoring their process at any time through the “Unsubscribe” option provided in communications sent by AIMA Renewal Check.

When a user requests cancellation:

monitoring will be terminated; and

the data associated with the monitoring will be immediately deleted from AIMA Renewal Check's active systems, except where retention of certain information is required by law.

Cancellation has no effect on the user's existing process with AIMA.

15. Completion of Monitoring and Data Deletion

When the system determines that monitoring has ended, regardless of whether the outcome indicated is favourable, unfavourable, or otherwise, AIMA Renewal Check will send a final communication to the user.

This communication will also inform the user that the data associated with the monitoring has been deleted.

The Service's operational policy provides for zero days of retention of personal data associated with monitoring in the active systems after monitoring ends, except for any retention strictly required by law. The AIMA submission date and completion date may, however, be retained in anonymised form solely to calculate and publish aggregated statistics about process completion times. This anonymised data does not identify the user.

16. Protection of Personal Data

The processing of personal data in connection with AIMA Renewal Check is described in greater detail in the applicable Privacy Policy.

The Service seeks to limit the collection of data to the information necessary to perform the monitoring and send the relevant notifications.

Use of the Service involves the processing of the data necessary to provide the monitoring requested by the user, as described in the Privacy Policy.

17. Acceptable Use

The user agrees not to use the Service:

for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes;

to monitor processes for which they do not have authorization or another legitimate basis;

to attempt to gain unauthorized access to AIMA Renewal Check's systems or third-party systems;

to interfere with the normal operation of the Service;

through automated mechanisms intended to overload, abusively test, or exploit the Service; or

in any manner that violates applicable law or the rights of third parties.

We may suspend or terminate the provision of the Service where there are reasonable indications of abusive, fraudulent, unlawful, or technically harmful use.

18. Service Availability and Changes

Although we seek to keep AIMA Renewal Check available and operational, we do not guarantee that the Service will be permanently available or free from errors or interruptions.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service where necessary for technical, operational, legal, or security reasons.

Whenever reasonably possible and relevant to users, we will seek to communicate significant changes.

19. Liability

AIMA Renewal Check is provided as an auxiliary monitoring tool.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Phoenix Scientific will not be liable for delays, unavailability, or inaccuracies resulting directly from third-party information, systems, or services over which it has no control.

The user remains responsible for monitoring deadlines, obligations, communications, and requirements relating to their process with AIMA.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, nor to prejudice any mandatory rights granted to consumers under applicable law.

20. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content, design, graphic elements, software, text, and other proprietary elements of AIMA Renewal Check belong to Phoenix Scientific or are used with the authorization of their respective owners.

Use of the Service does not grant the user any intellectual property rights in such elements.

Names, trademarks, logos, and content belonging to AIMA or other entities remain the property of their respective owners.

21. Changes to the Terms and Conditions

Phoenix Scientific may amend these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes to the Service, applicable law, technical requirements, or operational practices.

The updated version will be made available on the website together with its corresponding update date.

Where a change has a material impact on the use of an existing active monitoring service, we will seek to inform affected users through appropriate means.

Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect will be subject to the version of the Terms and Conditions then in force, without prejudice to any rights granted to the user under applicable law.

22. Governing Law and User Rights

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Portuguese law.

Where the user is a consumer residing in another country, this provision does not affect any mandatory rights or protections granted to the user under applicable law that cannot be contractually excluded.

Any dispute will be dealt with in accordance with the applicable rules of jurisdiction.
